Professional journey
and some personal facts
After finishing Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a Post-baccalaureate certificate, it was good to have broad knowledge in the field of psychology, but I had to figure out how to educate myself furthure.
With limited options at that time in my country, together with a group of friends and colleagues I explored various approaches and techniques in psychotherapy. It was a fascinating journey, but long story short, I enrolled into two wonderful programs: Gestalt Associates Training Los Angeles (GATLA) and Moscow Institute of Gestalt and Psychodrama (MIGIP).
I made my first steps in private practice around 2004, at the same time contiouing rigorous training, including intense GATLA workshops in Switzerland, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Poland. After getting certified by aforementioned MIGIP, I worked as their regional assistant trainer until immigrating to Canada.
Here in Canada I switched to mostly online practice and continued my training with GATLA (got certified in 2018) attending their ongoing Individual and Couples Gestalt training program in Seattle.
Outside of my professional life I am a husband, dad and an amateur musician. I love coffee and cats and am slightly addicted to books and youtube channels on science, tech and history.
